Coza has assisted clients by serving on advisory committees. The role of these groups is to prioritize information systems projects and to monitor the projects to completion. Our role was to put the committee in place, select members, and put procedures in place. The value of this group is that, now, executive management is clear on how they are spending their is dollars and the results of those expenditures.
IS Advisory Role
We have a client that has a multi-million-dollar project underway. The client has put in place and advisory committee of selected consulting firms to give them guidance on this project. The role of the group is not to sell consulting services, but to help the client, through our experience and expertise; to give them guidance in making this project successful.
Year 2000 Remediation
We have successfully completed Y2K remediation projects for a health-related insurance carrier. We analyzed the problem, designed the implementation plan and executed the plan.
Contract Reviews and Negotiation
Coza has helped clients with the review and negotiation of technology-related contracts. For a large healthcare company, we drafted license, support and implementation contracts relating to a large purchased software product.
Information Services Standards and Service Level Agreements
We have performed numerous engagements that involved the evaluation of a client’s information services standards and implemented the necessary standards for the client which were not previously in place.
Also, we have helped clients put in place service level agreements. We worked with both Information Services and the users to agree upon defined levels of service and put in place a method to record to record performance and report on the level of service.
Single Point of Failure Analysis
These engagements involve evaluating the hardware and software configuration for a client and determinating what single points in the hardware and software, if they should fail, would completely take the system out of service.
